Hi,
Some people say that managers are born and not bred. I do not believe it. Managers in fact are bred. A line manager must have good knowledge about his business line; only then he can make good decisions. Similarly a C level executive must know the strengths and weakness of his company as well as have experience of the market place to make good decisions. Without prior experience no manager can make good decisions.
Why I was discussing this point is because I recently read your book “Software project Management – A Process Driven Approach”. You must be having a very good experience in software projects because the book you have written is brilliant and it contains the practical knowledge you may have gathered in your career. The book discusses many practical problems faced by software project managers.
